The Aronsolian deserts are an area of dry sandy land located in the middle of the [[Polaris]] continent. This part of the world was traditionally the homeland of the [[Hamakei]] people, being inhospitable for most other races but tolerable by the Hamakei. Originally the deserts were covered with many Hamakei towers, with individuals and small groups dotted all across the region, but during the expansions of the [[Hakarren Empire]] these towers were mostly ruined or abandoned, and the Hamakei built new towers in a cluster in the centre of the deserts, where they could better defend themselves together from the [[Hakarren]] invaders. This cluster of towers became the city of Aronsol, and the modern name for the region derives from the name of the city.
