Guilds within Elysium are a collection of people who are interested in similar arts - whether they be thievery or sorcery. Grouped together within a building, they form a protective circle of people who, lead by one individual often called the guildhead, will try to bring about as much influence as possible for its members in the outside world.

Guild members are usually expected to share all knowledge about the skills it teaches, for the benefit of the Guild as a whole, and so you will often find new abilities and skills available for you to learn, as a member. The guild head is therefore expected to ensure that it's members are keeping by the rules of the guild, and to act as figurehead as the profession it teaches. If you are interested in joining a guild, you should decide which skills you would be interested in learning about. For your skills will contribute a large amount towards any overall aim you might have in life, here in Elysium.

There is a help file for nearly every guild in existance, and the members of the guild you may be interested in joining will often be only too happy to direct you to it. This file will give you information about the purpose of the guild, and the skills it teaches.

Once you have spoken to the many people within Elysium about what skills are available, you should ask how you would go about seeing people who have high ranking in the appropriate guild, for it is only them who may let you into the guild.

Guilds are not open for anyone to join, and you should expect the Guildhead to question you about your reasons for joining, before they grant you membership. Once satisfied, they will make you an invitation.
