Nectanebus was an earlier form of the Goddess Delvanea, known as the God of Panoply at the time.
A turn to darkness saw Nectanebus move away from the path given to him by the Creator, and his name became synonymous with death and decay.
Once Nectanebus took up the later form of Delvanea, the deity rarely acknowledged her previous form, and some scholars suspect the two gods were actually separate beings, though the means with which Delvanea acquired her divine power is not explained in any of their theories and the accepted theological understanding is that they were indeed the same being.
