The Minister of State may construct a plot of land, within which you, as the owner of that plot of land, may plant various crops which you can grow and harvest.

If you 'examine' the plot, you will gain an idea of what the plot is growing, and how well the crop is doing.

You may grow the following commodities within plots:

For example, if you wished to grow some wheat within your plot, you would first of all have to find one or more wheat commodities. Place them on the floor, and type 'sort wheat'.

Each time you type this, a commodity of wheat will be sorted into a handful of corn, which is ready for sowing.

Next, you will need to prepare the plot for planting, by ploughing it. Type 'plough' and 'examine plot' to make sure it has been ploughed.

By then typing 'plant wheat', you plant all the corn that you have layed on the floor into the plot. By typing 'examine plot' you should see that it has been roughly plowed up and planted.

It takes around one real life week for the crops to grow to a stage when they can be harvested. The growth of the crops will depend upon the time of year that they're growing in, and each type of crop grows in a slightly different way, so you will need to experiment.

Eventually, after examining the plots, you'll find that they are ready for harvesting. You can harvest the crops by typing 'harvest'. The resultant commodities will then be left of the floor, ready for you to take away into storage.
